Real Good Bath & Body raising funds for Ukraine

Real Good Bath & Body in Crookston is raising funds for people in need in Ukraine by selling special "Hope" bath bombs at their hometown and Fargo locations and the entire purchase price goes directly to Ukraine in an instant transfer. The first batch of Hope bath bombs ($10 each) already sold out and they've been busy making more while also donating the materials and labor for the initiative.

Buddhist Monk to create sand mandala on UMN Crookston campus April 11-20

The University of Minnesota Crookston will welcome Wongdue Sangbo Gurung, a Buddhist monk from Nepal, to campus April 11-20 as he will take part in the ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition of the creation and destruction of a sand mandala. The community and students on the UMN Crookston campus will be able to watch him create the sand mandala in person or online at http://www.kaltura.com/tiny/0s711. The creation of the sand mandala will commence Monday, April 11 in the west side of the International Lounge within the Sargeant Student Center. Special tours will be offered Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 from 10 am.-2 p.m. Parking will be available in Lot “A”.

Northland Community & Technical College to host Career Expo events for high school students

Northland Community & Technical College is set to host their 2022 Career Expo on both campuses in Thief River Falls and East Grand Forks March 30 and April 20, respectively. Doors will open at 9:30 am on March 30, 2022, at Northland’s Thief River Falls campus and a similar event will take place on the East Grand Forks campus on April 20, 2022. The event will give high school students in grades 9-12 an exclusive opportunity to meet with faculty in a wide variety of programs as well as student services staff.

Local students receive Dean’s List honors from Bemidji State University

- Local students have earned Dean's List honors from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., at the conclusion of the Fall 2021 semester. Those honored include: - Katelyn Wagner of Crookston - Savannah McDonald of Fisher - Kelsie Narlock of Fisher To be eligible for the Dean's List, Bemidji State University students must be enrolled for at least 12 credits and earn a minimum of a 3.5 GPA during the semester.
