City Council talk roles, responsibilities during League of Minnesota Cities training

League of Minnesota Cities Staff Attorney and Assistant Research Manager Kyle Hartnett made a trip to Crookston to speak with the City Council, Mayor, Interim City Administrator and City Clerk during a special meeting Monday, April 4 at City Hall where he gave a presentation and offered resource handouts such as "A Good Start to Good Governance - Guidance for Newly Elected City Officials from the League of Minnesota Cities" and "What's my role as an elected official." In return, the Council asked for guidance on a number of topics and even posed hypothetical situations that could occur with the roles of the city administrator and staff.

UMN Crookston to host ‘whodunit’ type of show ‘Who Murdered My Sweetheart’ April 8 and 9

The University of Minnesota Crookston Music-Theater Department will present “Who Murdered My Sweetheart”, written and directed by Paul Warshauer, on Friday, April 8 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 9 at 2 p.m. in Kiehle Auditorium. All students get in free and adults are $5 at the door.

Northland Community & Technical College student April McGee elected to leadership of Phi Theta Kappa’s Minn-Kota Region

Northland student, April McGee, has been elected as Vice President of Communications for the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society’s Minn-Kota region. McGee was chosen for this leadership role at the PTA Minn-Kota regional meeting in Rochester, MN, March 18-20.
