The Crookston Area Community Fund (CACF) has opened up a special disaster recovery and resiliency fund to seek donations to help flood recovery efforts in the community. Donations will provide funding for the immediate and long-term needs of residents and organizations recovering from the recent flooding of the Red Lake River.

The Nels T. Wold Post 20 Crookston American Legion Auxiliary has selected Halle Bruggeman and Zara Baig to represent Crookston at the Minnesota Girls State Session on June 12-18 at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. Baig and Bruggeman will be seniors at Crookston High School during the 2022- 23 school year.

Northwest Minnesota Arts Council recently announced its student and adult art exhibit winners who competed for $2,300 in cash awards. Student and adult artists from the seven-county region including Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Polk, Pennington, Roseau and Red Lake entered and the winners were recognized at the Northwest Minnesota Artist Reception in Thief River Falls on April 27.

Quintet "Veritas" will be featured May 5 at 7 p.m. as part of the Crookston Civic Music League's Entertainment Series in the Crookston High School auditorium. Veritas is a male vocal quintet with three tenors, one baritone, and one bass.
