Club Kid kicks off parks and rec summer program

Club Kid summer program ended its first week of the season at the Crookston Sports Center where kids brought scooters to ride around the arena. Week 2's programming includes football and yoga, games, swimming, a trip to the library, a trip to the Villa, exploring Castle Park, a presentation by RiverView Health, and fun at the splash park. Crookston Public Schools to Hold Community Meeting Discussing Athletic Field Referendum

Crookston Public Schools is holding community meetings to educate and answer questions regarding a referendum to construct a multiuse facility for the school district and community. The next meeting will be Wednesday, June 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Crookston High School Auditorium. All are welcome and encouraged to participate.

New Leadership at Benedictine Living Community Crookston

Lindsey Erdman has accepted the role of Administrator/Executive Director at Benedictine Living Community - Crookston. Lindsey was born and raised in Crookston and has a passion for the faith based mission of BLC-C. She has had family members who resided at BLC-C and is a long time employee who has held various roles throughout the facility. She started working at the Villa when she was a sophomore in high school in the laundry department, she has worked in the business office in the accounts payable role and is currently the Human Resources Director.

What can start out as a bright and sunny day for some families, ends in tragedy for over 40 children in the United States each year because of heatstroke deaths that have occurred in cars. That is one death nearly every nine days. Heatstroke deaths in cars, while more common in the warm summer months, have happened every single month of the year across the United States.
