Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a possible fire on May 29 at approximately 4:55 a.m. at 38026 330th Ave SW in Climax. As a deputy arrived on scene they located multiple fuel tanks near an outbuilding on the property and one of the fuel tanks was on fire.

A fire call came in May 25 at 8 p.m. at the intersection of 265th Ave SW and 290th St SW for a one-vehicle motor vehicle accident caused by sliding into the ditch. No injuries were reported. The CFD assisted on scene.

Christie Lynn Trent, 36, East Grand Forks, was arrested May 16 by the East Grand Forks Police Department for fifth-degree assault. She was released when bail was supplied.

Crookston Rotary Club recently held a Student of the Month breakfast fundraiser at the Crookston Masonic Lodge #141 and were presented with a check from the proceeds plus a match by the Masons for a total of $1,794. Polk County Veterans Services Officer Kurt Ellefson was the speaker at the 2022 Memorial Day program at Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston and was introduced by longtime Crookston Veterans Council representative Margee Keller. Before Kurt spoke, Keller gave a recap of his life:

Crookston High School's Class of 2022 was celebrated with a graduation ceremony Friday, May 27 in the high school gym surrounded by friends, family, teachers, staff and their peers. The event consisted of performances by the band and choir, plus speeches by CHS Principal Nicki Martinez and teacher Gary Stegman.
