Highway Enforcement for Aggressive Traffic (HEAT) Effort to Target Speeding, Criminal Activity ST. PAUL — The Minnesota State Patrol is turning up the heat on aggressive drivers by extending its Highway Enforcement for Aggressive Traffic (HEAT) program through the end of the year.

Minnesota State Community and Technical College has been chosen as the new host of the West Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center for a three-year period beginning January 1, 2023. M State was selected for its proven commitment to business development, existing resources, large geographic and demographic footprint, and established partnerships with regional businesses and industry.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Thirteen Minnesota cities and counties will receive consultant support as part of a $400,000 Planning Assistance contract to help create active transportation plans, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Crookston Masonic Lodge recently awarded three University of Minnesota Crookston students with scholarships from proceeds of their annual vidalia onion sales event. Sophomore Christopher Robert Carlson, freshman Alex Kozitka and freshman Jack Garmen each received $1,000 from the scholarship that's exclusive to UMN Crookston. Lodge member Lester Wilkens said their group sold 5,000 pounds of onions in approximately two-and-ahalf days.
