Class size limited to 42.

The Minnesota DNR Firearms Safety Training is coming up this spring/summer for hunters in the area.

Certificates are required for all youth hunters and individuals planning on hunting out of state. The classes, open to anyone age 11 or older, begin on May 28, to which youth must bring a parent for the first meeting. The dates for the classes that will follow are May 30, 31, and June 4, 6, 7 and 8. There will be a Field Day on June 8.  The time will run from 7-9:15 p.m. for each class.

There will be a 42 student limit per class, so those interested must register early. As of earlier this week, 15 participants had already registered for the class.
The classes will be held at the Crookston Gun Club, 1 mile north of UMC on Highway 75 and a quarter mile west.

To register and for more information, call Steve Videen at 218 289-2115. The classes are sponsored and conducted by the Crookston Gun Club, West Polk County Deer Hunters Association, Bingham Construction, B & F Investments, Irishman's Shanty, Crookston National Bank, and Swanson Law.
