For most kids who skate or play hockey in Crookston, their first exposure to the ice is through the Moms, Pops & Tots program. If they stick with it they might play hockey for the Pirates or figure skate with the Crookston Figure Skating Club. The one event that brings hockey and figure skating together is Dreams on Ice, which takes place this weekend at Crookston Sports Center, and features kids in Moms, Pops & Tots and figure skaters and hockey players, plus all kinds of figure skaters from ages between.

The theme is “Blast from the Past.”

Saturday’s show is at 7 p.m., followed by Sunday’s at 2 p.m. Adults pay $5, students pay $2, with preschool and younger free. A family weekend pass is $20.
