Former longtime Crookston resident died. Oct. 7.

Kathleen (Garvey) Burdenie, "Kay," 93, passed away October 7, 2012 in Naples, FL. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Kay and her husband Ted, moved to Crookston, MN in 1946. They owned and operated "Ted's Linoleum," a flooring, paint and wallpaper business for 32 years.

Moving to Naples in 1988, Kay worked for several retail stores including Beall's on the East Trail where she made many friends among customers and fellow employees.

Predeceased by her husband, Ted, and several siblings, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bob Cowden; a sister, Noreen Hopper of Winnipeg; and her long-time friend, Jo Erdman, of Crookston.

Services will be private.
