Minnesota Crookston Equestrian Has Four Student-Athletes Earn NCEA 2022-23 Academic Awards

WACO, Texas - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team had four student-athletes honored on the 2023 APHA All-Academic Teams and the Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA). The All-Academic teams recognize student-athletes for their success both in the arena and in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.

Golden Eagles Fall 5-2 to Marauders on Senior Day

Minnesota Crookston tennis wrapped-up the home portion of their schedule this morning against the University of Mary. The Golden Eagles got a pair of single wins by Ashley Chomyn (Sr., Winnipeg, Manitoba) and Madeleine Schneider (Jr., Cartringen, Germany), who won her 13th match of the season, but ultimately fell 5-2 to the Marauders at Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks.

Minnesota Crookston Concludes Trip to Norfolk with Dominant 13-0 Win Over Sioux Falls

NORFOLK, Neb. - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team concluded their three-game swing with the University of Sioux Falls at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk, Neb. The Golden Eagles put together 14 hits and had home runs from Josh Dykhoff (Fr., 1B/RHP, Wadena, Minn.) and Mike Hallquist (Jr., 3B, Fargo, N.D.) in the 13-0 victory.

CHS Speech team has strong showing in subsection tournament

The Crookston Speech team competed at the Subsection 31A tournament in Thief River Falls on Saturday, April 1st with many students earning awards, and advancing to the Section 8A tournament. First place winners advancing to sections: Zara Baig - Humor Brandon Wandrie - Original Oratory Lincoln Waldal - Discussion Meliyah Moore - Extemporaneous Reading Second place winners advancing to sections: Samantha Rezac - Storytelling Third place winners advancing to sections: Thor Harbott and Jack Anderson - Duo Interpretation Maddie Harbott - Discussion Grace Smith - Extemporaneous Reading Julia Buhler - Great Speeches Fourth place winners advancing to sections: Zac Plante - Humor Ivan Luckow - Creative Expression Fifth place winners Shayla Azure - Humor Sixth place winners Mareile Meyer - Poetry Also competing John Lisov - Humor The team now moves on to the Section 8A tournament on Thursday in Fosston.
