Why is Cathedral School “out of this world’?

Cathedral School is out of this world because I have the best teacher ever, awesome friends, and fun classes. My teacher is funny and makes us laugh while learning, she is kind, and she rewards us for our hard work. I love my friends because they are kind to everyone, and they are respectful. I love reading, writing, art, coloring, and, most of all, my Chromebook.I like reading because I get to read out loud, which helps me get better at reading. I like writing about my friends and animals, especially my dogs. Art is good because I get to learn about different artists. Some of the artists are really really good at art, and some of them are talented. I get to color and draw with my friends sometimes during quiet time and at art. I like my drawing and coloring skills because I am talented and I practice. I like my Chromebook, most of all, because it is a great resource for helping me learn more by doing things like researching football players and practicing math. Cathedral School is out of this world because the things we learn and do are out of this world.

Cathedral School is Out of This World

Cathedral School is out of this world because we all share God’s Love!!! We grow our relationships with Jesus by praying everyday and going to Mass every Wednesday morning! Our school community Is like the solar system; everyone has a part in it. Not one of us is left out of our Cathedral Solar System. Cathedral is a great school! We also have classes like reading, math, library, writing, science, art, social studies, computers, and music. When you are a student at Cathedral school, you also have great teachers to help you every day. I love being a student at Cathedral School.

Cathedral School Alumni Respond to “Why Cathedral School Is Out of this World.”

I attended Cathedral School from 1st grade through 6th grade. Why I think “Cathedral School is out of this world” is because of all the great memories I have from my years there. A few of the things that I still think back to this day is I remember in my younger years for our Christmas program we were dressed up in cardboard boxes that were made to look like Christmas presents and we all thought that was so cool. I also loved it when we were seniors in High School being able come back and play the teachers in Volleyball. We even got to ride in a limo for our sixth grade graduation! There are many more memories, those are just a few. It is also special is that some of those teachers I had I would now consider friends. Who would think after all those years that the student/teacher relationship would turn into friendship later in life. I mean after all there was one program where the teachers acted out a scene from Sister Act! Do teachers get any better than that? Someone must have a old video of that somewhere right?

Education and American Democracy

With the recent conflicts in the House of Representatives and the ongoing struggle to meet the nation’s economic indebtedness, moving our discussions of education and American democracy from the 2nd World War to the Korean War is challenging. This is further compli-cated by the recent German objections (now resolved) to supplying American and German tanks (both maintained in Germany) to Ukraine in fear of inviting Russia into nuclear conflict.

Leviticus 19: 34 You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”

Enjoying Winter

I enjoy winter. I appreciate the slower pace and the stillness of a winter landscape. There are no bugs to contend with, no unbearable heat and humidity to endure, and, as the days begin to grow longer, the promise of springtime’s renewal isn’t far off.
