I traveled to Kansas City, Kansas recently to attend the Midwest Fish and Wildlife Conference, an annual event held at various midwestern states, including Minnesota. This year’s host state was Kansas.

Crookston hosts first varsity speech tournament

On Saturday, Feb. 18, Crookston High School hosted its first varsity speech tournament, with nine teams competing. Schools competing at the tournament included; Blackduck, Breckenridge, East Grand Forks, Fosston/Bagley, Red Lake County, Roseau, Thief River Falls, Warroad, and Crookston. In total, 83 students competed in 90 events, with all 13 MSHSL Speech categories represented.

Minnesota Crookston Tennis Picks Up Fifth Win of 2023 with 6-1 Result Against Upper Iowa

WINONA, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team continued their historic start to the 2023 season with a 6-1 win over Upper Iowa University at Winona Tennis Center in Winona, Minn. The Golden Eagles picked up their second conference win of 2023, matching their mark from 2014. UMN Crookston surpassed their program-high for wins as they improved to 5-2 (2-1 NSIC). Upper Iowa dropped to 0-3 with the loss.

Minnesota Crookston Hockey to Battle for National Tournament Berth at Central Regional February 24-26

The University of Minnesota Crookston hockey program will make their first-ever appearance at the 2023 ACHA Division II Central Regional February 24-26 at the Maryville University Hockey Center in Chesterfield, Mo. The Golden Eagles are two wins away from their first-ever berth in the 2023 ACHA Division II National Tournament March 17-21 at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Mass.
