The Empire Arts Center, Empire Theatre Company( ETC)and Praxis Strategy Group Present “The Lifespan of a Fact.”Based on the true story of D'Agata's essay What Happens There, “The Lifespan of a Fact”follows Fingal, who has a small job: to fact-check articles for one of the best magazines in the country. His boss has given him a big assignment: to apply his skill to a groundbreaking piece by legendary author D'Agata. But now Fingal has a huge problem: D'Agata made up a lot of his article. What starts professional quickly becomes profane.

Minnesota Crookston Women’s Basketball Takes Down Minot State 70-53

The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball team used a team effort to take down Minot State University 70-58 Friday, December 30 at Gary Senske Court at Lysaker Gymnasium. UMN Crookston did a great job of moving the ball and finding open shots. The Golden Eagles went 26-of-64 from the field for 40.6 percent. Minnesota Crookston was 8-of-32 from beyond the arc for 25.0 percent. In addition, the Golden Eagles were 10of-13 from the stripe for 76.9 percent.

Crookston Library to Launch ‘Art by the Red’ Art Club

Introducing 'Art by the Red', a monthly art club hosted by the Crookston Public Library! Join us every 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. for a time to get creative! We will offer the opportunity to learn different art mediums, meet local artists, and just have a welcoming space to work on individual art projects! Open to ages mid-teens through senior citizens, with all levels of artistic abilities. No registration is required, but RSVP is appreciated by calling the library. The first meeting will be held Monday, January 9 at 6 p.m.
