Minnesota Crookston Women’s Basketball Fends Off Wayne State 74-72 Despite Late Defensive Pressure

WAYNE, Neb. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s basketball team held off a late charge from Wayne State College (Neb.) to earn a key road victory 74-72. The Wildcats caused six turnovers in the final five minutes using a full-court press to put pressure on the Golden Eagles, who had a 12-point lead with over eight minutes left in the game. Minnesota Crookston made key shots and plays down the stretch to earn Saturday’s win.

Minnesota Crookston Volleyball Announces Signings of Muth and Schoenfelder for 2023

The University of Minnesota Crookston volleyball program announced the signings of Megan Schoenfelder (MH/RS, 5-11, Zumbrota, Minn./Zumbrota-Mazeppa H.S.) and Carizma Muth (OH, 5-11, Randolph, Wis./Randolph H.S.) to join their 2023 signing class. Schoenfelder and Muth join previous signees Kailee Waasdorp (OH/DS, 5-9, West Fargo, N.D./ Sheyenne H.S.), Maya Jones (RS/ OH, 6-1, New Braunfels, Texas/ Canyon H.S.), and Ryan Canter (S, 5-11, Phoenix, Ariz./Saguaro H.S.).

Minnesota Crookston Baseball Picked Ninth in NSIC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball program was picked to finish ninth in the 2023 NSIC Preseason Baseball Coaches’ Poll released Wednesday, January 18 by the conference office. The Golden Eagles received 98 points, one ahead of Wayne State College. They were picked 10 points behind the University of Sioux Falls.

Minnesota Crookston Drops Game Saturday; Come Back Late on Sunday to Earn tie Against Minnesota Duluth

Duluth, Minn. – This past weekend, the University of Minnesota Crookston hockey team traveled to Duluth for a two-game series against Minnesota Duluth. On Saturday, the Bulldogs scored two goals late for a 6-4 win, while the Golden Eagles returned the favor, scoring a goal with less than five minutes to go, skating to a 4-4 tie.
