“Halle had a great week going 3-1 at the toughest spot on the team in the #1 Singles slot as well as 1-0 at #1 Doubles. Halle's work ethic and competitive spirit has pushed her improvement at a faster pace than the other girls, solidifying her position on the roster.

Grouse season opens Saturday, Sept. 17

Ruffed grouse and spruce grouse hunting season begins Saturday, Sept. 17, and lasts through Jan. 1, 2023. Woodcock season is from Saturday, Sept. 24, through Monday, Nov. 7. Hunters can find a variety of grouse and woodcock hunting information, including where and when to hunt, regulations, and safety and educational resources for those who want to learn to hunt these forest birds, at the Minnesota DNR’s grouse hunting webpage (mndnr.gov/Hunting/Grouse).

Crookston Library’s Reading by the Red Book Club to Discuss ‘Murder on the Red River’ on September 27

MOORHEAD, MINNESOTA - The Crookston Public Library is inviting readers to join its Reading by the Red book club, which invites adults of all ages to meet in the library's beautiful River Room to discuss a variety of widely-read books. The selected title for September will be the locally-based Murder on the Red River by Marcie Rendon, with a discussion to be held Tuesday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m.

NDSU launches technology training initiative to expand career pathways and meet workforce needs

Fargo, N.D., Sept. 12, 2022 — North Dakota State University is offering new online certificates to increase access to technology skills training for industry- recognized programs such as Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, CompTIA and Pega. The courses offered through the partnership will create new pathways to high-earning careers in the technology industry and help meet the workforce needs of the state.

Warroad Native Tabbed as Mechatronics Instructor at Northland Community & Technical College’s New Northwest Minnesota Facility

September 12, 2022 — Northland Community & Technical College is excited to welcome Jackson Harren as a new mechatronics program instructor at the Advanced Resource Center for Innovation and Education (ARC) in Warroad, Minnesota. Harren attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville and obtained his B.S.E. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and an M.S. in Management of Technology. Harren returned to Warroad from Huntsville to join the Manufacturing Engineering team at Marvin, where he served in a leadership role for several years.
