NMF: Neen’s Future in Space scholarship seeking applicants

The Neen’s Future in Space Scholarship, a component fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, is seeking qualified applicants for its 2022 scholarship round. The annual scholarship is dedicated to qualified students who have graduated from high schools within the NMF service area; who are pursuing their junior or senior year in post-secondary education or post-graduate study through a college, university, or other accredited non-profit technical or vocational education/training institution or program; and are majoring in the study of science, math, technology or engineering with the preference for students entering a career in astrophysics, aeronautical engineering, or aerospace.

MNDOT: Highway 2 Crookston corridor study open house on May 24

The City of Crookston, in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn- DOT), is conducting a corridor study to evaluate existing conditions and potential improvements that could be made along Highway 2 (Broad- way and Main Street) in downtown Crookston. The open house will be held on Tuesday, May 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Crookston City Hall - 124 N Broadway. The meeting was previously scheduled for April 28 and was delayed due to flooding.

Crookston Area Community Fund accepting donations for disaster relief program

Crookston Area Community Fund (CACF), which falls under the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, continues to seek donations for the special disaster recovery and resiliency fund to help flood recovery efforts in the community. Donations will provide funding for the immediate and long-term needs of residents and organizations recovering from the recent flooding of the Red Lake River.
