Fisher fights flood with help of area volunteers

Rising waters of the Red Lake River posed a threat to the city of Fisher late Sunday, April 24 to early Monday, April 25 and area volunteers rose to the occasion to help sandbag. Minnesota National Guard, who were activated by Governor Tim Walz for flood response, assisted with building up their levee and multiple pumps helped to protect homes near the areas in risk of flooding.

Tuesday 8 a.m. – City reminds residents to stay away from levee systems and temporary clay embankments

City of Crookston As of 8:00 am today, the Red Lake River level at Crookston was 23.96 feet and is continuing to slowly recede.  The Crookston Emergency Operation Center(EOC) remains open and will continue to monitor river levels, levee systems, and future weather predictions.… Login to continue reading Login…
