Jeremy Olson named one of two finalists for Bemidji Area Schools Superintendent position

Crookston School District Superintendent Jeremy Olson has been named as one of two finalists selected for the second round of interviews for the Bemidji Area Schools Superintendent position. Bemidji's school board will have the second round of interviews for the finalists on April 21 at their district office.

CHS Speech team places 2nd at subsection tournament

Crookston High School's Speech Team competed Saturday, April 9 at the Subsection 31A Tournament in Oklee and took second place in the competition. Emily Balboa took 1st place in Dramatic Interpretation and advanced to sections; George French took 1st place in Humorous Interpretation and advanced to sections; and Samantha Rezac and Zara Baig took 1st place in Duo Interpretation and advanced to sections.

Armin Elton Ross

Armin Elton Ross, 92, of rural McIntosh and a former longtime Fisher farmer, passed away at his home Friday evening with his loving family at his side. Armin was born at Higdem Township, Polk County, on August 4, 1929 to Walter John and Bertha Emilia Rose (Klema) Ross of Fisher.
