Member-owners of AgCountry Farm Credit Services will soon discover the cooperative advantage as the farmer-owned lending institution announces a record $76 million cash dividend. For the third consecutive year, AgCountry has achieved its patronage goal of a one percent dividend on all eligible business.

With high fertilizer prices following the 2021 drought, many farmers and agricultural professionals are looking to adjust their nutrient management practices for the 2022 crop. Historically, nitrate concentrations in surface water can spike following a drought, said Brad Carlson, Extension educator in water quality.

MSU Moorhead is a comprehensive university offering more than 150 majors, emphases and options, 15 graduate degree programs, 40 certificate programs, and 31 areas of teacher licensure preparation.

The Crookston American Legion Auxiliary Unit 20 will again sponsor two girls to attend the 75th Annual Minnesota Girls State Session from June 12-18, 2022 at Bethel College. Girls who are currently high school juniors are eligible to be a candidate to attend. All fees are paid, no cost to participants.

A juvenile was hit by a pickup while crossing the street in Fosston on January 7, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reports. Dispatchers were notified of the accident at approximately 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of 1st St E and N Granum Ave in the City of Fosston and, upon further investigation, found that a juvenile female was crossing 1st St E when she was struck by a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driving east.

An accident was reported on January 6 at 3:24 p.m. at the 1200 block of North Front Street where a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a juvenile male of Crookston, collided with a 2002 Ford F150, driven by Alexis Schmisek of Crookston. There were no injuries and mild and moderate damage to both vehicles. A citation was issued to the juvenile male driver.
