The Crookston Crocs swim team competed in the Walleye Invitational Sunday, July 25 in Grand Forks. It was the last qualifying meet before the state swim meet.
A total of ten swimmers from Crookston participated.
“Alison Olson had several fantastic swims on Sunday, showing a lot of improvement over the summer. I think she’s at a point now in which she will really help the Pirate girls’ swim team this fall along with Alexandra MacGregor who qualified to swim in state,” said coach Ken Stromberg. “Her brother, Jonathan Olson, and Emma Boerger attended there first USA swim meet this weekend and had some really good swims.”
The Crocs will send seven swimmers to the state meet, which will be held in Grand Forks on July 30-August 1. They will be swimming in 25 individual events and two relays.
The seven state participants will be Merran Dingmann, Kate MacGregor, Alexandra MacGregor, Muira MacRae, Thea Oman, Jaden Lubarski and Dylan Mandez.
