Crookston’s Dylan Mendez, swimming unattached North Dakota, participated in the Detroit Lakes Sunfish Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center.
Swimming in the 13-14 age group, Mendez placed first in four events. He finished the 50 yard freestyle in 27.71, the 200 yard IM in 2:53.40, the 100 yard freestyle in 1:07.88 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:37.20.
