UMC soccer drops 2-0 exhibition to Minot St.

Minot State University scored a goal in each half and limited the U of M, Crookston to two shots on goal as they defeated the Golden Eagles 2-0 in an exhibition women’s soccer game Sunday in Minot, N.D.

The Beavers got on the board at 37:22 of the match when Tatyannay Griffiths scored off an assist from Lexy Kidd. Minot State University scored their second goal at 52:56 when Kidd found the back of the net in unassisted fashion.

Anna Ogaard recorded nine saves for the Golden Eagles.

UMC will open the 2010 regular season when they travel to Rensselaer, Ind. on Thursday, Sept. 2 and Marion, Ind. on Saturday, Sept. 4 to face St. Joseph’s College and Indiana Wesleyan University respectively.
