Girls' basketball: Hawley stops Crookston 41-16

The No. 5 ranked Hawley Nuggets remained undefeated on the season with a 41-16 victory over Crookston at Concordia-Moorhead Saturday. Crookston had just four different players score in the game as it fell to 10-9 on the season. Hawley is now 18-0.

The Pirates trailed 23-7 at the half and the Nuggets outscored the 19-9 in the second half for the 26-point victory.

Rachel Wold led Crookston with seven points, while MacKenzie Sandstrom added four, Kelsey Grunewald had three and Ashleigh Erdmann recorded two.

Hawley's Erica Amann finished with a game high 15 points. Jessy Noreen added nine and Allie Sannes had five.

The Pirates will host East Grand Forks Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
