The Pirates started out slow and dropped a 57-51 loss to Stephen-Argyle Thursday in Argyle, Minn. Crookston trailed 32-20 at halftime and the Stephen-Argyle Storm held on in the second half for a six-point win.

Senior Jordan Brewster and junior Brett Delage each had 13 points to lead the Pirates, while junior Alec Boike added nine, freshman Aaron Hollcraft had six and senior Ross Forney had five.

Seniors Luke Yutrzenka and Jared Rivard led the Storm with 21 points each.

The loss drops the Pirates to 9-7 on the season. They will host Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
