Junior guard Brett Delage recorded a game-high 17 points to lead the Pirates to a 54-40 win over the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (D-G-F) Rebels Tuesday in Glyndon.
"It was a game in which neither team had any flow," said Pirate Head Coach Greg Garmen in an email to the Times. "Many free throws and fouls disrupted the flow, but we were able to win which is good. We forced them into some turnovers and got some buckets off transition and within our half-court offense. We did not shoot very well from the line, but got there 35 times which is good for us."
Crookston took a 30-21 lead into the halftime break and outscored D-G-F 24-19 in the second half.
Junior guard Alex Boone added nine points for Crookston, while freshman Aaron Hollcraft had seven and junior Alec Boike had six.
Taylor Beyer led D-G-F with nine points.
The Pirates have now won seven of their last nine games and are 11-7 on the season. They will travel to Hawley on Saturday.
