Crookston gets big section road win in Bagley
Crookston boys’ basketball got an important section victory in Bagley on Friday evening with a 65-53 win over the Flyers. The Pirates got balanced scoring with three players in double figures and had five players with two or more steals. Crookston improves to 2-1 on the season, while Bagley drops to 0-2.
The Pirates built an eight-point lead after the first half with a 30-22 lead. Crookston held a 35-31 advantage in the second half to claim the 65-53 victory.
Junior Josh Baldock scored 14 points to lead the Pirates in scoring. He also had seven rebounds. Ben Curran added 13 points and Matt Crawford had ten points. Jake Thompson, who had five points, added nine rebounds along with five blocks.
Next up, Crookston hosts Warroad on Thursday with tip off set for 7:30 p.m.
