Crookston continues to lower their individual times.

The Crookston Pirates swim team only has seven on their roster which makes winning duals rather complicated. Despite their numbers, Crookston made things interesting in a dual against Fosston-Bagley which resulted in a 51-42 win for the Seals.

Winning their two relays has become muscle memory for the Pirates. The 200 yard medley relay of Thea Oman (Sr.), Madison Hoiland (Fr.), Elizabeth Erdman (Jr.) and Claire Oman (Fr.) took first with a time of 2:11.39 and the same squad, in a different order, also won the 200 yard freestyle at 1:56.22.

Erdman’s success carried over into her individual events as the junior won both the 100 yard breaststroke and the 100 yard butterfly. Erdman swam a 1:23.90 in the breaststroke and her time of 1:10.97 in the butterfly served as a personal season-best.

Also claiming a first place finish, Hoiland took gold in the 200 yard freestyle at 2:22.42. Although she placed second in the 100 yard freestyle, she broke her season record time in the event swimming a 1:02.99.

Thea Oman’s first place showing in the 200 yard individual medley (2:27.31, season-best) rounded out Crookston’s golds.
