EAST GRAND FORKS - The Crookston Pirates made their way to East Side for a dual with the Green Wave only to return shortly after arriving due to rain.

    Before the match ended prematurely, East Grand Forks claimed victories in second doubles against Eden Haller (Jr.)/Hannah Lindemoen (Fr.) 6-1, 6-4 and third doubles against Elysa Christensen (Sr.)/Emma Gunderson (7th Grade) 6-2, 6-3.

   Hannah Street (Sr.) began her third singles match and lost the first set 7-6. The second set was tied 3-3 deuce.

    In fourth singles, Halle Winjum (7th Grade) also stopped mid-match where she lost the first set 6-2 and trailed in the second set 5-4.

    First and second singles along with first doubles did not start. All matches will be resumed where they left off. A date has yet to be determined.

    The Pirates now look ahead to their busy weekend starting in Detroit Lakes for a triangular on Friday, September 7. The Pirates are set to play Detroit Lakes and Wadena-Deer Creek at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. The next day, Crookston will head to Alexandria for another triangular featuring Alexandria and Osakis and will play at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
