The Crookston American Legion Post 20 Baseball team improves to 1-5 on the season after Friday’s double-header against Badger-Greenbush-Middle River where they lost the first game, but pulled ahead to win the second.

In game one, three pitchers, Jade Selzler, Jackson Seibel, and Brooks Butt, took the mound. Crookston had an early 2-0 lead, but suffered an 11-5 loss to BGMR.

In game two, Brady Butt pitched all five innings and scored the winning run after Gavin Salem’s fly ball into centerfield with the bases loaded.

The Legion team will return to the diamond Monday night with a double-header against Stephen-Argyle with the first game at 5 p.m.
