The game was originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday, April 3 in Crookston.

    The University of Minnesota Crookston softball team will head to Minot, N.D. for a doubleheader against Minot State University Wed., April 4. The games have been relocated to the Air-Supported Dome in Minot, N.D. from the Minnesota Crookston Softball Field in Crookston, Minn. The games were moved due to field conditions and weather in Crookston. The games will be played at 12 and 20 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

    Minnesota Crookston enters Tuesday with a 5-21 (1-3 NSIC) record. The Golden Eagles earned their first win of NSIC play over Minnesota State University Moorhead Fri., March 30. Minot State comes into the week with a 15-12 (2-4 NSIC) mark. The Golden Eagles lost a pair of games to the Beavers in non-conference play Feb. 24 and 25.

    Minnesota Crookston played four highly contested games last weekend at the PC Dome in Aberdeen, S.D. The Golden Eagles took a game over MSU Moorhead and lost one to the Dragons and two to Northern State by three runs or less.

    The Golden Eagles have had strong bats for the 2018 season as they have posted a .290 batting average with 108 runs scored, 44 doubles, five triples, four home runs and 89 RBIs. Jenna Boardman (Sr., 2B/SS, Genoa, Wis.) leads the team by hitting .397 for the season with 10 runs, nine doubles, two triples and nine RBIs. Rocky Bjorge (So., 1B/3B, Prior Lake Minn.) is hitting .327 for the season with six runs three doubles and 12 RBIs. Mikaela Rodriguez (So., SS/2B, Laveen, Ariz.) comes in hitting .333 with 13 runs, six doubles, two home runs and 15 RBIs.
