Magsam clinched the win on Saturday, but still had 320 points on the line as did the rest who picked Villanova.

We spend so much time stressing over which first round upsets to pick. With the ESPN scoring, that proves to be not so important so long as you pick well in the late games when points are worth the most. A correct first round pick is worth 10, the championship can get you 320.

This tournament is definitely the craziest one I have followed. A 16 seed won in a plethora of upsets, some of which made absolutely no sense. With all the madness, the standings in this group were ever-changing. But eventually Bob Magsam took the cake by correctly picking the championship matchup and the champion, Villanova Wildcats. Eight people in the group picked Villanova and they all finished in the top eight. Further proof picking the champion is more important than a 12 seed over a 5 seed.

So next, year everyone should pick the favorite every time because there is no way this insanity happens in consecutive years. Thanks for playing, everyone.
