UMC wrapped up their Las Vegas invitationals on Tuesday, March 13.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s golf team finished ninth at the Winona State Invitational Mon., March 12 and Tues., March 13 at Stallion Mountain Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev. The Golden Eagles shot their best team round of the 2017-18 season with a 360 to best their total of 364 at the Tracy Lane Memorial in Bemidji, Minn., Sept. 11, 2017.

    The Golden Eagles were paced by Ashlee Humble (Sr., Rosemount, Minn.), who shot rounds of 92 and a season-low 79 to finish 29th in a deep field. Megan Ryan (Fr., Oconto, Wis.) also put together a great round of golf on Tuesday as she carded her low of 83 to go with a 108 Monday. McKenzie Harris (Jr., Nevis, Minn.) shot rounds of 99 and 95 for the tournament, while Natasha Maninga (Sr., Menahga, Minn.) put up rounds of 105 and 103.

    The University of West Alabama won the team title with an aggregate score of 614, besting Montana State University-Billings by 19 strokes. The Golden Eagles beat out Chadron State with their score on Tuesday.

    Ye Eun Jim of West Alabama won the individual title after shooting a three-under-par score of 141. She beat out Alicia Fajardo of West Alabama, who carded a 152.

    The Golden Eagles return to the course at the Minnesota State University Invite April 14-15 in Coon Rapids, Minn.
