This week's Pirates of the Week are Carter Winand, Rachel Hefta, Brelee Jobe, Eric Delorme and Nolan Dans.

Boys' Basketball

Carter Winand - Sr. C

Head Coach Greg Garmen says, “Carter is off to a pretty good start for the Pirates. He has shown early on that he can step out and hit the three while also scoring in the paint for us. Carter has also done a good job of rebounding and defending in the paint early on.“

Girls' Basketball

Rachel Hefta - Jr. F

Head Coach Darin Zimmerman says, “Rachel has gotten off to a great start. She is emerging as one of the go-to leaders on our team. She put together a great game in our opener by posting a double-double and was a focal point of our defense last Friday against Win-E-Mac. She has improved in all facets of the game and has become one the best communicators we have.”

Girls' Hockey

Brelee Jobe - Sr. G

Head Coach Jaclyn Martin says, “Brelee’s a senior captain for her team this year. She’s really off to a great start already breaking school records and we’re only five games in! Brelee’s leadership, commitment and determination have grown tremendously. She works hard in practice and is more focused than I’ve ever seen her. Brelee has really become a true goaltender and it’ll be a blast to continue to watch her strive throughout her senior year.”

Boys' Hockey

Eric Delorme - Jr. F

Head Coach Josh Hardy says, “Eric is a junior forward for the Pirates who has had a great start to the season scoring two goals in the first game of the year against Sartell-St. Stephen. Eric works hard and does things the right way. It was fun to see him rewarded for it early in the season. We expect him to be a huge part of our offense moving this year.”

Wrestling

Nolan Dans - Fr.

Head Coach Wes Hanson says, “He was the first Pirate to compete last weekend at the Wahpeton Dan Unruh Invitational. In his season debut, Nolan showed some solid techniques which led him to victory by pin which really got things rolling for us. He went 3-2 on the weekend and earned a fifth place finish. Nolan always competes extremely hard in practice and competition.”
