Kate MacGregor won two events in the loss.

    In the final dual of the season, Crookston took on Moorhead on the road. The Spuds bested the Pirates winning the majority of events and beating Crookston 105-71.   

    The 200 yard medley relay team of Kate MacGregor, Merran Dingmann, Elizabeth Erdman and Thea Oman nearly came away with a first place finish, but lost to the winning team by .26 seconds.    

    Oman tallied more points for the Pirates by finishing second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time  of 2:12.28. Sarah Ryan earned one point for Crookston finishing in fifth doing so in 2:32.53.   

    Dingmann took second in the 200 yard individual medley in 2:25.71. Madison Hoiland swam a time of 2:44.21 and placed fifth.    

    In the 50 yard freestyle, Oman collected her third silver finish of the day with a time of 27.50 missing out on first by just over a second. Emma Borowicz added to the Pirates score with a 5th place finish in 28.56.   

    MacGregor notched Crookston’s first win in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:05.09. Ryan also swam and took fifth for one point in 1:29.24.   

    Erdman and Borowicz finished in fourth and fifth respectively in the 100 yard freestyle and times of 1:01.28 and 1:06.52.  

    For the 500 yard freestyle, Dingmann placed third in 5:58.02 and Claire Oman earned her first point of the day finishing fifth in 7:03.22.   

    Dingmann, Erdman, Thea Oman and MacGregor combined again to win the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:01.29.   

    MacGregor won her second race in the 100 yard backstroke finishing in 1:04 and beating second place by 11 seconds. MacKenzie Aamoth contributed to the points placing fifth in 1:26.32.   

    Erdman gave Crookston their third win of the day winning the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:18.52. Hoiland added on to the score placing fifth in 1:24.30.   

    The Pirates won the 400 yard freestyle relay with the relay team of Dingmann, Erdman, Thea Oman and MacGregor. The team swam the event in 4:00.83 beating the second place relay team by nearly eight seconds.    

    Up next for the Pirates will be the North Border Conference Meet in Thief River Falls. The meet will take place on Friday, October 27 at 2:30 p.m. After the meet in Thief River Falls, Crookston will compete in Detroit Lakes at the Section 8A Meet on November 10-11.
