Drew Dragseth scored his third goal of the season, but Crookston fell short to end their season.

The Crookston Pirates entered the Section 8A Tournament as the six seed. The first task in their way was a road match against Alexandria who sat as the three seed.

Right out of the gate, Alexandria took control scoring two goal in the first two minutes.

Crookston was able to stop the bleeding for the rest of the first half with their defense led by Logan Wardner in the net. Wardner totaled nine saves in the match, giving him 130 on the year.

Alexandria then increased their lead to 3-0 with about 10 minutes remaining in the game making a Pirates comeback less and less likely.

Crookston got on the board with a goal by Drew Dragseth and assisted by Alex LaFrance minutes later.

Finally, with three minutes remaining, Alexandria tacked on one more goal for a 4-1 lead, the eventual final score.

The loss eliminates Crookston from the postseason. The Pirates split their final six games and finished the season with a record of 7-10.
