The award is the fourth consecutive one for Minnesota Crookston.
The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s soccer team were bestowed their fourth-consecutive United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) Team Academic Award. The Golden Eagles was among 81 collegiate teams (282 men, 521 women), who received the recognition.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point of average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster. The Golden Eagles maintained a 3.48 GPA as a team during the 2016-17 season. They have continued to show improvement in the classroom each season under Head Coach Joe Alianiello as they increased their team GPA from 3.35 during the 2015-16 season to 3.48 last season.
