Katherine Geist won her race while Ben Andringa placed second.
Three Crookston runners competed in the East Grand Forks Invitational and performed well with Katherine Geist and Ben Andringa taking first and second in their races.
In the girls competition, Crookston’s Geist placed first with a time of 20:23. Emily Gillette also ran and earned a personal best of 26:00.
Andringa missed first place by a second, but ran the 5K in 17:11.
“Ben was not happy getting beat but his time was decent and he ran a smart race,” Head Coach Kirk Misialek said. “His time was consistent with some of the other tough courses run this season.”
The next race will be on Thursday, October 5 in Warren at the local golf course. Start time is 4 p.m.
