The Crookston Pirates bounced back from a rough showing at a triangular against Delano and Litchfield. The Pirates were tied with Moorhead by a team score of 3-3 on Friday September 1 before weather caused the final match to be stopped.

    The Crookston Pirates bounced back from a rough showing at a triangular against Delano and Litchfield. The Pirates were tied with Moorhead by a team score of 3-3 on Friday September 1 before weather caused the final match to be stopped.   

    Crookston took three of the four singles matches with Ally Tiedemann, Jaeden Lizakowski and Catherine Tiedemann winning their respective matches.    

    Moorhead then won the first two doubles matches to even the team score at three apiece.    

    In the final match of the competition, the third doubles team of Elysa Christensen and Hannah Street won the first set 6-3. The duo led the second set 5-4, one game win away from taking the match, when weather played a factor. The match was called and will try to be completed on a later date.   

    The Pirates will next play East Grand Forks on the road on Thursday September 7 at 4 p.m.
