They beat Warroad and Roseau in weekend playoffs in Bemidji
The Crookston Reds baseball team still have a shot at heading to the state tournament after beating the Warroad Muskies and Roseau Royals Sunday at the Region 10C Playoffs in Bemidji.
Sunday’s game versus the Royals led to a celebratory win (7-4) after previously falling to them in all four games played this season and losing Saturday’s game 10-1. They also topped the Muskies Sunday morning 5-2 with “great pitching performance” by Logan Forseth and Seth Desrosier.
Reds player Aaron Hollcraft returned to the team for the playoffs after missing most of the season with an injury. The Reds say he “got right back to work with some clutch hitting against Warroad and is just a couple of at bats from qualifying in the hitting stats.”
The Crookston Reds will play the Moorhead Miners Saturday at 12 p.m. in Bemidji. The winner will advance to the state tournament.
