Crookston High School athletic coaches select Pirates of the Week for baseball, boys and girls golf and boys and girls track.

Crookston High School Pirates coaches Mitch Bakken, Jeff Perreault, Steve Kofoed, Amy Boll and Wayne Folkers select student athletes to be featured as Pirates of the Week. For the week of May 29-June 2, the Crookston Daily Times features the 2017 Baseball Seniors, the girls golf Sub-Sebsection team, Ryan Swenson (boys track), Charles Eickhof (boys golf), and Harley Barlow, Brita Fagerlund, Kayla Stahlecker, Sami Learn and Jenna Porter (girls track).

Girls golf head coach Jeff Perreault says: "Good luck at the section tournament next week at Bemidji Town and Country!"

Boys golf head coach Steve Kofoed says: "Charles Eickhof is the sixth member of the Pirate Boys Golf Team this postseason. Charles has been a big part of the Pirates postseason success in the past and I am expecting him to play a big role at the Section Tournament next week."

Boys track and field head coach Wayne Folkers says: "Ryan is a senior this year. This is his first year in track but he has made a big impact for us. He will be competing in Sections this Saturday in the 4x8."

Girls track and field head coach Amy Boll says: "A special thanks to the seniors for all their dedication and hard work. You five seniors have been a huge part of the team for the past six years. We thanks you for all laughs, your leadership and teaching the younger athletes. We will truly miss you guys as you move forward. Remember you always have a spot on the Crookston Girls Team!! Thank you SENIORS!!"

Baseball head coach Mitch Bakken says: "Eight Pirate Baseball seniors played their final high school game on Tuesday evening in Roseau. All year they have been the leaders of what will be a very young and inexperienced team the next two years. A senior led in pretty much all statistical categories this season. They all worked extremely hard and helped the younger players along all season. They have made their mark on the Pirate Baseball program and we thank them and wish them the best of luck in everything they do in the future!"
