Big second period leads Rams over Pirates.
The Crookston Pirates girls hockey team was unable to find any traction Tuesday night on the road.
A high-scoring second period led the Roseau Rams to take an 11-0 win over the visiting Pirates.
Roesau scored two goals in the first, seven in the second and two in the third to claim the shutout win.
Rams junior forward Maggie Crasson scored two of the 11 goals against Crookston, while nine other players scored throughout the night, as well.
Pirate goalkeeper Brelee Jobe made 53 saves in the net while Rams’ Rylie Bjerklie made four.
The Pirates fall to 3-13-1 on the year with Tuesday’s loss.
Crookston returns to action at 3 p.m. Saturday to take on International Falls at the Crookston Sports Center
