Last week on our way into the Crookston Community Pool, my mother fell on the sidewalk outside the pools entrance.   Thankfully, she suffered no broken bones, but she had a large gash above her eye and pretty significant bruising to her face.
I want to thank the kind and compassionate people that came instantly to our aid. Thank you to Stacy Hamre who stayed with my mother and young children while I went into the pool to get help.
We were so fortunate that a First Responder, Andy Dahlen, happened to be leaving the pool and as luck would have it, Stefanie Boucher (a Nurse Practitioner) was located in the locker room.
The words and actions of these three people were absolutely awesome in contributing to my mother’s immediate treatment.
I ended up bringing my mother into RiverView’s Emergency Department to get the gash above her eye stitched. I would also like to thank RiverView for their continued top notch care that they strive to give to the community.
I’m so thankful that my parents live in Crookston; where everyone is considered ‘a neighbor’ and people still rush to help their neighbors out.
