I am sick and tired of hearing these lies being told to the growers in meeting and letters, from ACSC Corporate, about sabotage of the plants equipment and poor maintenance.
Fact: ACSC had nearly two months before they started slicing any beets, plenty of time to correct all problems in the plants before slice. Unqualified workers and management did not no what to do to start the plants.
Fact: The pan that blew up in EGF plant; it was said a steam valve was put in wrong. This was a gate valve that works either way. Also, contractors worked on valves and reinstalled them.
Fact: Maintenance time was shortened by over a month so they could lock us out by Aug 1. We did not work on a lot of equipment that needed it. We were rushed so we could have everything put back together before they kicked us out.
So growers, I would like you to think long and hard on whom is lying to whom. We worked hard on getting equipment back together and honestly who would sabotage equipment when a person didn't know if they were going to be locked out or not. We did not even know what the contract said yet. So growers, you need too wake up before the company we and you worked so hard to build together for all these years is no more.
