The House District 1B DFL has recently begun the task of seeking out and endorsing a candidate who will be a true representative to the people of northwest Minnesota. A citizen commission has been convened to aid in the process of guiding and endorsing potential candidates. The citizen commission has determined its mission to be recruit, endorse, and assist progressive candidates that will work to improve the lives of the residents of northwest Minnesota.
After witnessing one of the most devisive and unresolute legislative sessions in of our states history, it is very clear that we are in need of a representative who will stand with ALL of the people of northwest Minnesota. To belong to a political party is a part of being a politician. But to put the letter next to your name on the ballot before all else is unacceptable, and the very sad reality of the majority leaders in St. Paul. We need a representative who will stand with our School Districts. Who will stand with our Small Towns. Who will stand for those who cannot stand for themselves. Solving the problems of today but always keeping an eye to the future so we can all be proud of what we are leaving the next generation. This is the kind of leadership we need.
The process of becoming the next representative is a very grassroots process that begins with precinct caucuses on Feb 07, 2012. Every local precinct and ward comes together to begin the process by selecting delegates who then proceed to the next level. Delgates who will eventually nominate and endorse the candidate who will best represent the people of northwest Minnesota. Anyone with any questions on caucuses or becoming a candidate can contact me at travicrat@gmail.com
