For months now, up and down the Red River Valley, the blogs of Rob Port have clogged the pages of the Grand Forks Herald and Fargo Forum. Of late, his constant refrains have brought to mind Philip Roth’s “Portnoy’s Complaint.”
Perhaps it has to do with Alexander Portnoy’s distinctive anxieties, troubling uncertainties that require a therapist’s expertise to sort out and ground him in a way that will promote an independent and healthy future.
Rob Port’s mindset seems angst and away, especially when it comes to one singular obsession. Indeed, Port’s Complaint IS Sen. Heidi Heitkamp.
Consider these “Anything” blogs.
Hypocrite Heitkamp proxy Sen. Kent Conrad demeans Rep. Kevin Cramer’s employing own wife as campaign manager.
Heitkamp’s party is seeking to destroy Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court chances.
Re: Kavanaugh. Will Sen. Heitkamp vote for hate?
Rep. Cramer opens 51-41 polling lead over Sen. Heitkamp.
Sen. Byron Dorgan, “sort of a political proxy for Sen. Heitkamp,” unwisely questions N. D.’s support of lawsuit challenging the legality of Obamacare.
Sen. Heidi Heitkamp flees CNN”s Manu Raju, who poses question of support for Judge Kavanaugh. “All allegations must be looked into” is her dismissive comment.
Kavanaugh travesty previews how democrats will govern if Sen. Heidi Heitkamp wins.
Sen. Heitkamp’s electioneering against tariffs hurts ability of U. S. to secure advantages in trade negotiations.
Angst aplenty, and angst at every turn, all on behalf of Rep. Cramer, who no doubt appreciates a lapdog when one services him well.
What might Portnoy’s therapist conclude? Pray for the election of Heidi Heitkamp because without her, Port will have precious little to blog about.
