“Thank you” hardly seems enough to express our gratitude for the overwhelmingly wonderful feelings we experienced as we walked into the Eagles for the benefit held in Scott’s honor.

“Thank you” hardly seems enough to express our gratitude for the overwhelmingly wonderful feelings we experienced as we walked into the Eagles for the benefit held in Scott’s honor.

People packed the Eagles from wall to wall. Donations given to the Silent Auction, Bake Sale, 50/50, T- shirt Sales, Fire Globe Raffle and Spaghetti Supper were phenomenal. Family and friends were able to donate monetarily via the benefit account at American Federal Bank and PayPal if they were unable to attend, or even if they could attend, but wanted to give more to help us!

The work that Leah Stroot and April Kopecky along with their families, and everyone else, who helped in any way, really touched our hearts. Leah stated at one point “It was a piece of cake; it’s easy when everyone is working together for a good cause.” We thought that was special and it speaks volumes about the people we surround ourselves with daily.

Through all of our hardship, we take the good with the bad. We remember the good times, thrive on them and push through each day in hopes that those bad days are followed with a good day. A day like Saturday, when so many people came together for us, was a good day. We will never forget that day! We could feel the love, kindness and generosity surround us, so much that it is almost indescribable!

During times like these, it really opened our eyes to the compassion in this world. Even when it hurts the most we know that we are never alone in this battle because you all have been there from the beginning, you are here for us now, and will continue to be.

We thank you sincerely, from the depths of our hearts.
