Janice Fay Joseph, age 60, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at her home in Burlington, Washington with her family at her side.
She was born February 10, 1948 in Hillsboro, North Dakota to Oreen and Fern (Schultz) Hetland. Janice grew up in Crookston, Minnesota and was married to George Joseph Jr. in Crookston on February 4, 1966. She resided in Gillette, Wyoming for 15 years and since then has resided in Mount Vernon and Burlington for the past 15 years.
She enjoyed watching the Mariners and collecting Beanie Babies. Janice was a member of the Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, George Joseph Jr. of Concrete; 2 daughters, Sheila Neill and her husband Bradley of Sedro-Woolley and Judee Joseph of Burlington; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Joseph and his wife Amanda of Mount Vernon, Chaurie Kirby and her husband Jeff of Ft. Collins, CO, and Bradley Neill of Mount Vernon; 5 sisters, Penny Perry and her husband John of Vergas, MN, Tammy Moe and her husband Glen of Monticello, MN, Nancy Hobbs and her husband Denny of Savage, MN, Joanne Turner of Belle Vernon, PA, Peggy Nelson of Burnsville, MN, and a brother, Paul Hetland of Crookston, MN, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Walt Rice of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating.
