Terrie (Brule) Stueber, 43, of Crookston, Minnesota, ended her life journey on January 14, 2010. She peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by family and friends. Terrie was born on April 29, 1966, in Crookston, the daughter of Harvey and Doris (Trudeau) Brule. She attended Crookston schools as part of the class of 1984. Terrie competed in volleyball and basketball. Her hobbies included tending her large garden, canning and sharing all her goods with many people. She was an avid horseshoe player. In fact she, along with her sister, Laurie, were Grand Champions of the annual 4th of July horseshoe tournament held at Maple Lake, Minnesota. She had a green thumb and could keep houseplants alive and blooming no matter what the Minnesota weather was like.
Terrie was united in marriage to John Stueber in Crookston, where the couple made their home. She spent most of her free time caring for her family; Terrie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After many years of practicing nursing, Terrie worked at REM Minnesota as a LPN supporting the care of patients with developmental disabilities. She attended Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Terrie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who shared in her life.
Loving family members include her husband, John; her mother and step-father, Doris and John Polley of Crookston, MN; four children, Justin Luckow (Tina Mae Gladue) of Crookston, Nicholle Luckow (Blair Fredrick) of Atwater, MN, and Chandler and Trevor Wellman of Crookston; brothers, Wayne Brule of Crookston, Marlin (Stacy) Brule of Jordan, MN, and Randy (Tammy) Brule of Mentor, MN; sisters, Bonnie Brule of Hardin, MT, Lynette (Jeff) Haugen of Coon Rapids, MN, and Laurie (Tim) Wavra of Crookston; brother-in-law, Chuck (Diana) Marshall of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Janae, Kalea and Isaac Luckow and Jax Fredrick. Terrie is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives. Terrie was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Brule; and a sister, Linda (Brule) Marshall.
The funeral service for Terrie Stueber will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Steve Bohler, officiating. Visitation will be on Monday at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home from 5-7:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm prayer service, and also for an hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Crookston.
