A memorial service for Pat Renslen will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston with Deacon Dennis Bivens, officiating. Visitation with the family will be for one hour prior to the service.

Patricia Ann Renslen, 68, a lifelong Crookston, MN resident, passed away at her home Monday evening, November 13, 2017, comforted by loving family members who were by her side. She had been bravely battling cancer for the last few months.
 
Pat was born in Crookston on July 3, 1949, one of 8 children of the union of Oscar “Ike” and Margaret (Stainbrook) Berglund. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith, attended Cathedral Elementary School, and graduated from Mount St. Benedict High School. During her working years Pat was employed at several Crookston businesses including Country Kitchen, Handy Farms, Northland Industries, Marlo’s Furniture, and the Isaacson Insurance Agency. She later spent 12 years with the housekeeping department of RiverView Hospital, and then 8 years as a cashier at I. C. Muggs. Pat retired from her position as a cashier at Hugo’s most recently because of failing health.
 
Pat was a faithful member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and her favorite pastimes included walking, reading, crocheting, baking, and going to rummage sales and thrift stores. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and siblings, and will be dearly missed.
 
Pat is survived by her son and daughter, Troy Renslen and special friend, Kim Ellis, of Denver, CO and Kari Trudeau and husband, Dwight, of Red Lake Falls, MN; 3 grandchildren: Dylan Renslen and Carter and Colin Trudeau. She also leaves 7 sisters and brothers: Bonnie (David) Isaacson and Mary Lynn Johnson of Crookston, Mike (Mary Elizabeth) Berglund of Woodbury, MN, John (Claudia) Berglund of Crystal, MN, Sandy and Mike Sullivan of Andover, MN, Cindy and Steve Marple of Columbia Heights, MN, and Pammy Messinger of Coon Rapids, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Margaret Berglund; and a nephew, John Johnson. Blessed be the memory of Patricia Renslen.
