Elmer Henry Neset of Bemidji, MN passed into the arms of the Savior on May 17th, 2017, just days before his 93rd birthday. Elmer was a long time resident of Fosston and later the Crookston area.

Born May 25th, 1924 at Fosston, he married Minnie Laura DeMoss of Chick, TN, in Pontiac, MI on October 5th, 1947.

Elmer was proceeded in death by Minnie, his mother Beate Amanda Berge, father Peder Neset, sisters Minnie Genevieve Neset, Violet Evelyn Solberg, Eunice Nerine Millard, and brother Edward Bennet Neset.

He is survived by daughters Mary Jane Garrett of Fairbanks, AK, and Faye Ann Dale and granddaughter Alissa Fiorello, both of Fort Worth, TX, son Ray Allen Neset of Minneapolis, MN, sister Lucille Annette VanDame of Bismarck, ND and brother Norman Arther Neset of Bemidji and many nieces and nephews.

He had been active in his local Baptist church in Fosston where he served as a Deacon. Elmer and Minnie owned a small family farm south of Fosston until 1974 when they moved to Crookston. Upon retiring from American Crystal Sugar in Crookston, he became a locksmith. He took great joy in attending conventions around the country, indulging in his new-found passion. Elmer will be interred in the Neset family plot at Kingo Luthern Cemetary in Fosston, MN.
